I watched my nephew Maddox this afternoon while Trisha and Brian went house hunting. I figured it would be easier for them to think about the possibility of each house without also having to entertain a toddler! He’s a very high energy kid (so cute!), smart, mischievous and independent. He reminds me so much of Noah at that age!
I loved having him over because, for one he is fun and the kids enjoy playing with him, but also because it gave us a little glimpse of what life will be like in a year or so. :o) It will be tiring for sure, but I look forward to it. I enjoyed seeing Jason play with Maddox and trying to teach him how to drink from a cup. Things got kindof hectic at lunchtime and I was the last one to eat (another thing I remember from when the kids were little). I also wasn’t able to relax much, keeping an eye and ear out for trouble, and he was brutal on the floors which makes me glad we picked a hard wood. lol
After a few hours he was sad that Mommy and Daddy hadn’t returned and he sat down on the couch and promptly fell asleep. It had begun to rain with a nice breeze blowing and I was able to read a chapter or two of my book. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon. :o) They may move to Franklin, so hopefully we will get to see more of him and his new baby sister, Madison.
