We went to see Bryant a few weeks ago. Tomorrow we leave for NC. I was hoping to meet Jason’s grandmother, but she decided to stay in RI. We are (sortof) planning a trip to see her, but I make no promises.
While in AL we visited the Fort Rucker (pronounced rooker, like hooker) Air Museum. It was very interesting and Noah rally enjoyed it. He did get a cute little helicopter in the souvenir shop. I almost got a cute pair of pj shorts that said “booty camp” in camouflage, but they did not have my size. Aww shucks. ;-) We then went to the PX which is a military mall more like Wal-mart, with no taxes. Noah also enjoyed seeing real live army guys, which he exclaimed every time we walked past one or two no matter their rank. I was having flashbacks.
Jason enjoys writing cute stories about me on his blog that aren’t so cute, so here is one of him. At the PX we decided to eat lunch. I got the kids and myself pizza and paid and then remembered we needed drinks. Water works for me, so I was like can I have a few cups for water? His reply was, sure they are a quarter each. What?! Well, I only had a debit card and didn’t want to put 75 cents on it, so I asked Jason to get cups for water when he got his sub. He comes back with his drink and two cups for the three of us. Huh? He didn’t want to spend the extra quarter to get us each a cup of water. Seriously? I would understand if we were all drinking soda at 2-3 dollars a cup, but a quarter? Thank you Charley, btw, I blame you. lol
Here is a lovely slideshow of our museum trip.
