New Loves

I’ve tried a few new things lately, I thought I would share.

vans-crackers

Van’s crackers My son loves these. The ingredient list is amazing and they are very flavorful. They do not taste like your typical cracker, which is a nice change.

Dressing_RoastedRedPepper

Annie’s Roasted Red Pepper Vinaigrette. I was looking for a French dressing without dyes and crap in it and I came across this dressing. It doesn’t taste exactly like french dressing, but it’s delicious!

Our usual favorite, Kraft Catalina has some not so great stuff in it:
Corn Syrup High Fructose, Tomato(es) Puree, Water, Tomato(es) Paste, Soybean(s) Oil, Vinegar, Salt, Contains less than 22% of Food Starch Modified, Phosphoric Acid, Onion(s) Dried, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Calcium Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Guar Gum, Flavoring Natural, Red 40, Yellow 6, Blue 1 (Ingredients taken from this Food Facts site that is pretty awesome in itself.)

Here is what’s in Annie’s:
Roasted Red Peppers (Roasted Red Peppers, Water, Salt, Citric Acid), Apple Cider Vinegar, Water, Expeller Pressed Vegetable Oil (Canola And/Or Sunflower), Honey, Sea Salt, Garlic, Xanthan Gum, Black Pepper, Basil. They make this claim as well: “We source only ingredients stated to be free of genetically modified organisms.” Always a plus! It will take some getting used to by the kids, but doesn’t everything?

I get a Birchbox once a month. I love it! It’s only $10 and I always find at least one item that I LOVE each month. One item I received recently is the
Caudilie hand lotion. My hands are not loving this weather we’ve been having and this lotion calms them down and smells so nice.

Another item I got in a different Birchbox is Benefit’s It’s potent! Eye cream. It was a tiny travel size jar and it lasted forever, so I didn’t mind forking over the dough for the full size when the time came. It moisturizes as well as lightening my dark circles. Mama needs some help in that area. (Will this baby ever sleep more than three hours??)

I am seriously contemplating the Citrus Lane box, but it’s $25 a month. Yikes. I’m always trying something new, either with food or beauty products, so when I find some great stuff I will share here about it.
