mazingly enough it is almost Thanksgiving, which means it is almost Christmas! Yay! I went grocery shopping today for the week and was just smiling like crazy the whole time because I absolutely love Thanksgiving. The busyness of everyone preparing for their holiday meals and the infectious good cheer that most people seem to have and share with others. I love it!
I’m going to make my green bean casserole and sweet potato souffle this year and I went ahead and bought a turkey for Jason to make for us even though my mom makes the turkey on Thanksgiving. We rarely eat turkey, so I thought what better week to OD on it? Right? :oD
I also got some really great deals on food in general which I love saving at grocery store, but not enough to become a coupon queen. It’s always so great to have something on your list and then when you get to the store to have that item be on sale. It’s like Publix knew what I needed that week. lol Most of the gifts are bought and ready to be wrapped. I really hope we can get a Christmas tree this weekend and start decorating! I have just a few more assignments and tests due in the next few weeks and then I am DONE. Completely and totally done with my A.A. That makes this time of year even better.
I am officially in my third trimester, 27 weeks this week, and on the downhill slope to delivering. Jason can’t believe that I am going to get bigger than I already am and I’ve started leaking (such a fun third trimester perk!) colostrum which freaks both Jason and Nora out. We told her about breastfeeding the baby and you should have seen the look on her face! Total disgust! lol It will be interesting to see how she reacts to seeing the real thing. lol All-in-all I could not be happier. I find it hard to allow myself to be happy sometimes, but I am truly blessed with a wonderful family. Soon the holidays will be over and we’ll be off on a new adventure, babyland! I can’t wait to see Jason changing diapers and cuddling his baby girl. :o)
